One of the relatively new and hip, weekend hangouts in Bangkok is Talad Rot Fai or in English, the Train Market. The market runs every Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. until 1a.m.
It started out as a single shop by two guys who wanted to sell antiques. They ended up inviting some other vendors to set up and in a matter of months it evolved from a small antique market into a social scene and hang out for Bangkok's retro lovers.
The market is filled with vendors selling everything from antiques to clothing, tasty food and of course plenty of bars serving up beverages.
In this video I have my Thai friend Emmy, interview Tui, the owner of a 70's Volkswagen van which has been converted into a bar on wheels.
HOW TO GET THERE: To get to the market by public transport, take the BTS to Mo Chit station. From there tell a moto-taxi to take you to "Talad Rot Fai Market". It should cost about 30 baht for the motorcycle ride from the station.
You can also go to Kampaeng Phet MRT station, exit via exit three, then head left down the road for about five minutes until you reach a footbridge. Cross over and continue walking in the same direction for about one minute until you see the market on your right.

Production note: I forgot to check the settings on my 5DMKII before shooting and accidentally shot in 640x480. It was also very dark so I had to shoot high ISO which is why its a tad grainy in parts. You live and you learn, will try to keep improving the production value as I go.
